A long lonely call escaped him as he lifted his mouth. He stood and looked for signs, signs of his family. Although he had not yet found them, he still tried. The foxes striking black pelt covered him from paw to nose. All except his front left paw and his tail tip. These were white. The white pelt on his paw went up to his ankle but then stopped. His white tail was halfway up

The foxes eyes looked around. He called again, this time it was a more stronger voice, a questioning voice. He jumped down from the rock he sat on and started to walk one way. He followed the scent of others, hoping it was someone from his family. The foxes family had been seperated when attacked by hunters. His mother, brother and sister had died, the rest of his family remained alive. Or so he thought...
