Appearance:
History:
"Taryn!" The voice of their strict leader called, it seemed rather baffled, Taryn couldn't help but snicker as she left her den, putting on her most unknowing expression. Kuma was covered in slick mud and a mixture of bird feathers. He looked ridiculous. Taryn would have thought by now he would have known better than to roll in any anonymous pile of leaves after the first 3 times she had pulled this prank.
"You think this is funny private?" he asked, calling her by her true rank. She immidiatley straightened up, trying to show false respect as she had before.
"No sir." she said enthusiastically. A little too enthusiastically.
"Pup watch, 3 nights!" he fumed, turning and marching for the creek, bits of mud and feathers falling off as he did so.
Taryn groaned, waiting for him to be out of sight. Then she burst into laughter, the pups running from the bushes, laughing and rolling around, some even immitating his lecture.
"Taryn, that was so cool! How do you trick him so much?" one of the brighter pups asked, staring admiringly up at his sisters and his role model. Taryn smiled warmly, touching noses with her special favorite.
"That my dear little friend, is a secret.." She said, teasing him and lifting her head. Yelps were coming from the hunter's dens. She looked to the pups, her attitude compltley changed.
"The sactuary dens, NOW!" She ordered them, each pup racing into the woods, to the safety dens far from the others, dug to protect the young if battle ever broke out.
Taryn raced up towards where the hunters roosted, a couple lay dead, and still maybe three or four fighting. The hyena's. She growled, howling, a set of jaws closing around her forearm, the bone nearly breaking as she ripped him away, closing her jaws fiercly around the soft, fleshy underside of the scavenging dog. She lifted her growling muzzle, a dribble of blood and saliva dripping like poison from her fangs. She howled again, this time the Hayena's shivered and tucked tail, reconizing the call for back up. Not even a few moments later, six or more wolves were racing up the hill, growling, They stopped at the scene, whimpering over the lost ones. Kuma, was the last to come up the hill, his mate was among the dead, he raced passed his pack, after the hayena's his mind blinded by cold fury hate and sorrow.
Taryn watched their leader pursue their attackers, she didn't run after him, there were many more hyena's than there were wolves, and she needed to see if the pups were okay. She turned, strutting down the hill, into the forest, towards her small friends, the scent of blood curdled her stomache as a pang of shear terror struck her stomahce. She began to move faster, moving into the area where the safety dens lay, the bodies of the pups scattered around, all lifless. A cold feeling of bitter anger and hate caused her to howl sorrowfully, mothers rushing into the area, collapsing with greif, others nudging there dead young in vain, trying to awaken them from the permanent slumber... Taryn left the next day, not able to stand the sorrow, the weeping, the feeling of her lost friends...

The feeling of dread clouded her pain filled eyes. This couldn't be happening, it was all a nightmare, puyt there to punish her for her tricky deeds. A few deep breaths showed her it was reality, making her heart an even more heavy burden to carry.
Why must I travel this road of sorrow, it was but a few harmless jokes.. she said bitterly into the sky, cursing the gods she had been taught about for so long. Sol, the sun god, and Lun, the Moon Goddess, all lies.
Taryn looked at the lush foliage, even this summer forestry was dull to her now, no longer did the sparks of mischeif flickered in her eyes. She looked ot the sky again, the image of her favorite, the little pup who seemed to be the brightest, she smiled, why was she weeping so? Her friends would not want her to be like this... though, Kapa wasn't among the dead... but he had to be, she just overlooked him.. She sighed, she would have to cheer up, get over it, let the wound scar, it was so long ago anyways, at least 2 summers ago...
